A lot of our work is showing people how to do things more easily (training). We also do all those technical things you’d expect – setting up networks in homes and offices, wireless, automatic back-ups, configuring email accounts, data recovery, upgrades, and much more.
We can usually schedule an appointment within a day or two. Sometimes we can juggle our schedule for same-day visits. For most of Marin and Sonoma Counties, there is no travel charge. Many of Mac+Tech clients choose ongoing phone support between on-site service visits. Other options include various ways that allow us to troubleshoot your computer remotely, saving an onsite visit.
Technology changes fast. At least once a year, I recommend having a professional update your software and run basic diagnostics to keep your computer running well. When we do a tune-up, we also evaluate your computer and let you know if you would benefit from an upgrade, like adding memory, upgrading to a fast SSD internal drive, or setting up a wireless network. All recent Macs can run Windows. When requested, we set Windows up on your Macintosh computer to give you the ability to switch back and forth (from Mac to Windows) and use real Microsoft Windows' programs.
